The children at CYM learned about how precious they each are, and that Hashem gave the Torah to the Jewish people, with the agreement that the children will be the guarantors.

They learned about Matan Torah—how we were given the Torah on Har Sinai, the smallest but most humble mountain. Each child baked and decorated their own little cupcake mountains with beautiful flowers and placed the luchot on top—they looked just like Har Sinai!

The children also learned and experienced the custom of eating dairy foods on Shavuot. They experimented with shaking heavy cream very hard until it turned into butter, and then they tasted it on some delicious crackers. They made and ate their own individual pizzas, made cheesecakes and ended the week off with an ice cream party!
