(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) In honor of the 77th yahrzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Schneerson, the father of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, a farbrengen was held at the Bris Avrohom Kollel Levi Yitzchok, the namesake of the Rebbe’s father, where men come to learn every Thursday evening.

Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky shared stories about Rabbi Schneerson and his work in Russia under the Communist regime, where he continued to burn the candle of Yiddishkeit to keep it alive, and how thank God we now live in a country where we are free to study Torah and do mitzvos. Rabbi Kanelsky stressed how we should strengthen ourselves to increase in acts of goodness and kindness, which in that merit we will speed up the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days.

Kollel Levi Yitzchok is organized by Rabbi Avremy Kanelsky, Rabbi Yechiel Kalmenson and Rabbi Aryeh Lavner.
