Clifton Jewish Center to Host Israel Police Attaché Yitzchak Almog

On Tuesday night, September 26, at 7 Clifton Jewish Center will host Commander Yitzchak Almog, the attaché for the National Israel Police to the US and Canada. Also in attendance will be Andrew Gross, the director of political affairs for the consul general of Israel and possibly Deputy Consul General Amir Sagie. At that time we will present them with two checks for the families of the slain Druze police officers who lost their lives in the Temple Mount terrorist attack.

Attendance is open for all those who contributed to the program and you may contribute up to Sunday, September 24, after which names must be given to the Israeli security officers. Those who wish to contribute may send a check to CJC Rabbi’s Fund/Druze to Rabbi Bob Mark, Clifton Jewish Center, 18 Delaware Street, Clifton NJ 07011

The drive to raise funds for this purpose is unique and it serves as a Hakarot Hatov and Kiddush Hashem to let the Druze community know that their services on behalf of the state of Israel are appreciated.

Many people are not aware that the vast majority of police officers in the Old City are not Jewish.

This program has been endorsed by the Israel National Police as well as the Diplomatic Service.
