Coach Angelika Szumilo, of the Fairleigh Dickinson University women’s basketball team met with the girls who participated in the FDU Girl’s Youth Clinic on Sunday Dec. 15, along with assistant coach Megan, her staff and members of her team. The girls had four drills in the spacious court in the Rothman Athletic Center. Drills included defensive positions, shooting, dribbling and many contests with team members. Participants came from local yeshivot including Noam, Yavneh, Yeshiva of North Jersey and Yeshivat He’Atid. Special thanks to Dov Elefant and the MGBL League for sending so many of their girls. All the participants were given FDU team bags, vouchers for free tickets to FDU Division 1 women’s home games, and a lovely autograph team poster. The girls were also invited to come watch team practices whenever they had a chance. The next women’s game is this Thursday, December 19, 7:00 p.m. in the Rothman Center. Everyone is invited to attend.
