The Yeshiva High School Alumni Association (YABA) committee unanimously voted player and coach Bobby Kaplan into their Hall of Fame.
Bobby Kaplan coached close to 1,000 games in the Yeshiva High School Basketball League with a league record of seven championships. He guided the Frisch girls and boys varsity as well as the TABC JV and varsity basketball teams.
Coach K, as Bobby is affectionately known, is also the author of two award winning books. The first is a basketball handbook for youth, “BBall Basics for Kids,” and the second book, “HOOPSTERS: Don’t Be a Bully,” has been incorporated by many public and private schools in Bergen County into their anti-bullying curriculums. Both books are sold on Amazon.
Bobby Kaplan played yeshiva ball at the Rabbi Jacob Joseph School (RJJ) on the lower east side of Manhattan leading his team to the JV championship and was selected to the all-star team for his defensive prowess.
