Following last year’s successful Chanukah boutique, Congregation Ohr HaTorah in Bergenfield is excited to open its doors for another pre-Chanukah event. Thanks to the efforts of the Ohr HaTorah sisterhood led by co-presidents Tamar Gross and Ricki Kurtz, the Chanukah boutique is back for its third year.
“We are happy to welcome back many favorite sellers from previous years,” said Gross. “People get excited each year to see some of the returning vendors, and we have some new additions to the boutique this year, too.”
In a venue where most items are geared toward women and children, unique sock distributor iluvsox was a welcome table. As boys, young men and grown men look for fun socks as a form of self-expression, iluvsox has a variety of novelty socks for all the men in your life. Tutus and Ties, another beloved vendor, will be back again. Their adorable collection of pom-pom beanies, splatter beanies and blinged-out caps can be seen on women at any social event. They have also expanded into infant and little girl hair accessories and headbands. Other returning vendors include Over My Head, with plush and colorful netilat yadayim towels that make a perfect hostess gift; Yarmulkes and Bows, where they have a collection of personalized kippahs and lucite gifts; and Jujubee, which sells kids accessories and toys. Also returning this year is Lynn Paint, a unique activity or gift where a picture is drawn and that a child can then paint on their own.
“We are always looking for new vendors and gift ideas for the community,” said Kurtz, “and we are excited to welcome new sellers to the boutique.”
For the first time, Ace Arts will be at the boutique with its beautiful collection of Judaica papercuts. Everyone is always happy to find the perfect shell or straight skirt, and Covered Girl Clothing from Highland Park will bring its extensive collection of modest clothing and layering options for women and girls. For the first time, Shopping Badger jewelry will also be at the boutique with its beautiful collection of elegant and trendy jewelry.
This year will have another added treat for Chanukah shopping convenience. Z. Berman from Passaic will be selling Chanukah oil and candles at a discounted price.
Please stop in to Congregation Ohr HaTorah, 36 Rector Court in Bergenfield, on November 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
