Inauguration of the Jack Flamholz Water Sustainability Project

Through collaboration with the Teaneck Creek Conservancy and Amir Yachieli, founder of Israel-based “Yevul Mayim”, the Jack Flamholz Water Sustainability Project will introduced water conservation curriculum and rainwater harvesting to Hawthorne Elementary School. This is the first use of this system in New Jersey. The project will allow students to explore ideas on water conservation in public and private spaces, utilizing Yacheili’s unique rain barrel design for hands-on learning. Rain barrels are also being installed at Teaneck Creek Conservancy for public demonstrations.
