Rabbi Leibtag will be speaking following the Hashkama minyan on “The Meaning of the Word ‘Torah’ in the Torah” and at 6:50 p.m., before mincha at 7:50 p.m., when the topic will be “Omer: Something to Count or Something to Eat? The Biblical Connection between Shemitta and Har Sinai.” Rabbi Menachem Leibtag is well known in the Jewish community for his essays on the weekly Bible portion and is a pioneer of online Jewish Education. In Israel, Rabbi Leibtag teaches at Yeshivat Har Etzion, Yeshivat Shaalavim, Midreshet Lindenbaum, and at Yeshiva University’s Gruss Center.
