Chabad BC Offers New Course for Women

(Courtesy of Chabad of BC) A new course for women, “TO BElieve OR NOT TO BElieve in YOURSELF: Achieving Self-Mastery,” is launching in five locations in Bergen County.

The subject of the course: The Tanya, a 225-year-old text whose portrayal of human psychology in general, and of our inner spiritual composition in particular, remains as revolutionary—and as refreshing—as ever.

Through this seven-part series, you will come to understand the sources of guilt, conflict and confusion, and find useful practical strategies for developing joy, purpose, direction and perseverance in everyday life. And as you proceed, Tanya’s comprehensive, multifaceted system of self-betterment will guide you to positive change to truly believe in yourself and in your journey toward self-mastery.

“Tanya is the one-size-fits-all manual that has revolutionized the way we think about God, the human soul, the world and our place in it,” said Rosh Chodesh Society Director Shaindy Jacobson. “We all yearn to be the best we can be and to believe in ourselves. The Kabbalah-based tools Tanya presents help us understand ourselves in order to better regulate how we think and feel, and ultimately emerge victorious from life’s inner struggles.”

The course will be taught once per month for seven consecutive months and is designed for women at all levels of Jewish knowledge.

We invite you to join us on this remarkable, deeply impactful road of self-discovery.”

*The Rosh Chodesh Society is an international Jewish sisterhood with 250+ chapters that aims to connect, empower, and inspire Jewish women through monthly Jewish learning and cultural experiences.
