CAMERA to Celebrate Israel’s 75th Anniversary

(Courtesy of CAMERA) Pro-Israel media watchdog CAMERA will hold its annual gala, celebrating Israel’s 75th anniversary, on Sunday, June 4, at beautiful Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River, New York City.

The gathering will showcase celebrity speakers Alan Dershowitz, Noa Tishby and Col. Richard Kemp commemorating Israel’s rebirth and the extraordinary contributions the “start-up nation” has brought to the world.

Notables from business, government, academia, media and entertainment will gather for the event. The evening will include a lavish reception, an award ceremony, inspiring commentary from luminaries and a delicious dinner—plus, stimulating conversation with leading voices from the world of pro-Israel advocacy.

Among the special guest speakers are Hollywood’s award-winning actress, producer and writer Noa Tishby (author of “Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth”); world-famous Harvard professor, best-selling author and civil rights lawyer Alan Dershowitz; and the eloquent Colonel Richard Kemp, whose 30 years in the British armed forces have given him unique insights into Israel’s astonishing bravery in its battle for survival in one of the world’s most challenging regions.

“Our gala is more than just a party,” said Andrea Levin, CAMERA executive director. “It’s an occasion for leaders in the pro-Israel community to assemble and celebrate the marvel of Israel’s existence. We at CAMERA welcome all who share our belief in the immeasurable importance of the Jewish state to the world and to the Jewish people. We’ve devoted more than 40 years to defending the truth about Israel and we’re committed to continuing for as long as Israel is defamed in the public square.”

Proceeds from the gala will help CAMERA continue its global media monitoring work, its college campus activism, its newly expanded and vital activity in K-12 educational settings and its various campaigns to combat rising antisemitism and anti-Israel radicalism. Each year, these many CAMERA programs are responsible for hundreds of essential media corrections while other departments provide pro-Israel students with free services, educational materials, training workshops and moral support.

CAMERA urges the pro-Israel community to support the gala by purchasing tickets, attending the celebration and spreading the word. “The CAMERA gala is unique and one of the most exciting pro-Israel events of the year,” said Levin. “Don’t miss it!”
