In celebration of EMS Week, several of the local Teaneck rabbis shared words of praise about TVAC:

Rabbi Larry Rothwachs, Congregation Beth Aaron:

“The volunteers of TVAC have faithfully served our community with distinction and dedication for many decades. It goes without saying that any cause that is dedicated to the protection and preservation of life deserves the utmost attention and support. In addition to the extraordinary success and accomplishments of this exceptional organization, TVAC has enabled countless teenagers and young adults within our community to develop the skills, training and experience to devote themselves to the care of others. For this alone, we should be forever grateful to TVAC’s place within our community.”

Rabbi Steven Sirbu, Temple Emeth:

“It is reassuring to know that the dedicated volunteers of the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps are always available when we need them. I admire the way they bring members of our diverse community under one roof with the singular mission of addressing the emergency health needs of our town. I am inspired by the way they represent the best of Teaneck.”

Rabbi Daniel Fridman, Jewish Center of Teaneck:

“TVAC continues to innovate to bring their world-class expertise in emergency response to the community. Our community is indeed blessed to have such a wonderful organization, and our gratitude for all of their life-saving work is immense. May Hashem bless all of those who serve in TVAC and support it, and grant them much siyata d’shemaya in their heroic efforts in pikuach nefesh and kiddush shem shamayim.”

Rabbi Nathaniel Helfgot, Congregation Netivot Shalom:

“TVAC is an amazing and essential institution in Teaneck. The volunteers, who come from all sections of the glorious mosaic of Teaneck residents, teach us every day about commitment, compassion and community. They are the very best of us and doing God’s work with no physical remuneration. It is the responsibility of every single resident in our town to support the work of TVAC in every way possible.”

Rabbi Joel Pitkowsky, Congregation Beth Shalom:

“Over 12 years of living and working in Teaneck, I have seen the selfless devotion and professionalism of TVAC volunteers on numerous occasions: in my synagogue, on my block and everywhere else around town. If I had an emergency, there is only one group of people I would want assisting me—the dedicated volunteers of TVAC who put community welfare and well-being above their own personal needs time and time again. I am grateful to have the opportunity to support TVAC.”
