Solve the Mystery of Mishlei and Much More: Lamdeinu Summer Semester to Begin June 1

(Courtesy of Lamdeinu) Join Lamdeinu beginning Thursday, June 1 and fill your summer days with Torah!

On Mondays, Dean Rachel Friedman will lead “Parshanut HaMikra: Sefer Bereishit – Blessing Yaakov and Esav” from 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. This class is open to women only, and will analyze the blessings of Yitzchak to his sons Esav and Yaakov.

On Tuesdays from 9:15 – 11 a.m. Rabbi Gedalyah Berger will teach “Talmud Pesachim: Chapter 4: The Authorities and Parameters of Minhag.” This insightful gemara shiur is open to women and men.

On Wednesdays from 10:15 – 11:30 a.m. Rabbi Yitzchak Twersky will offer a rare opportunity to decipher the book of Proverbs in “Mishlei: Solving Solomon’s Riddle.” Rabbi Twersky will discuss how the biblical book of Mishlei challenges us “to understand proverb and epigram, the words of the wise and their riddles. Hidden beneath the mosaic of individual sayings found in this fascinating and enigmatic book, there lies a global meaning that Mishlei invites us to uncover. This mini-series will probe the depths of Mishlei and approach this work in a holistic way. Piece by piece, the clues in the text of Mishlei—as well as related biblical texts—will be collected and united to form a clear picture of the essential meaning of Mishlei. The concealed message of Mishlei speaks to the very essence of Judaism.” This class is open to women and men.

On Thursdays, Lamdeinu offers “Hilkhot Tefillah: Frameworks of Fervor” with Rabbi Gedalyah Berger from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.. This shiur is open to women and men.

And finally, prepare for Shabbat by diving into the weekly parsha and Haftarah with Rabbi Daniel Fridman. “Parashah & Haftarah Pointers” will take place from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Thursdays in June and is open to men and women.
