Yeshivat Noam Celebrates 20th Anniversary

(Courtesy of Yeshivat Noam) Yeshivat Noam celebrated 20 years of blessings and paid tribute to deserving honorees, teachers, nurses and medical team in a Virtual Celebration on March 17. The festive event celebrated all that Yeshivat Noam has accomplished in their 20 years since opening their doors, and honored those who serve as examples of this commitment, leadership and dedication—Maren and Robbie Scharf, Amy and Chaim Birman, Aliza Chanales, Jessica Heller and Rabbi Elie Kurtz. Messages of appreciation were also expressed to the school nurses, Roberta Stoll and Nancy Joszef, as well as the parent volunteers who serve on the medical committee.

While they certainly missed celebrating in person, Yeshivat Noam parents and staff received delicious meat pizzas from Sender’s Smoke Joint and customized s’mores boards, courtesy of World of Goodies, to enjoy while celebrating at home. Event chairs Lisa Mandelbaum and Elissa Seltzer, with the assistance of Rebekah Mally, spent countless hours creating, designing and implementing creative event branded giveaways. Rizi Harris, Yeshivat Noam parent and design professional, created the beautiful graphics for the 20th Year Celebration.

The Virtual Event paid tribute to the honorees with videos highlighting their dedication to and appreciation for Yeshivat Noam. Of course, in typical Yeshivat Noam fashion there was a serious WOW factor when the honorees were presented their awards at their homes with music and a surprise personal firework show!

Along with the honoree videos, guests enjoyed a unique and clever comedy video incorporating humor from “Saturday Night Live” and “The Office,” written and directed by Chanan Vogel and Rabbi Chaim Hagler with creative input from Ari Wartelsky and Matt Engler. Feedback included sentiments such as “hilarious,” “entertaining” and “legendary.” Some of the most memorable moments included an interrogation by Avital Hermann, fifth-grade actress; an acting performance by YN parent Tova and her fourth-grade daughter, Sarena Gerson; and a beard-shaving epic moment by Justin Lipschik, YN parent. To watch these and other hysterical skits, check out the videos on the Yeshivat Noam YouTube channel.

The Campaign co-chairs, Josh Chaitovsky, Dina Gielchinsky and Shua Winkler and their entire Annual Campaign Committee assisted in raising over $1,000,000 to provide critical support to both school operations and the Yeshivat Noam Scholarship Fund, dedicated to those families who need assistance and ensuring that every child receive a yeshiva education.

The evening was a great success in highlighting the culture that makes Yeshivat Noam so special, and its reputation for warmth and excellence.
