Rabbi Kanelsky Delivers the Invocation at the Hillside Public Safety Promotional Ceremony

(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) Last week, Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky was invited by the mayor of Hillside, Dahlia Vertreese, to deliver the invocation at the township of Hillside 2021 Public Safety Promotional Ceremony.

Rabbi Kanelsky began his speech by saying how we all have to say thank you to God now that we can once more gather again in person, and that now that we have resumed socializing, we have to appreciate every day as it comes.

Rabbi Kanelsky shared his sentiments of thanks and appreciation towards the Hillside police and fire departments, the two agencies in our community who selflessly safeguard our community by putting their lives on the line every day. Rabbi Kanelsky then proceeded to bless them both that God should always help them to be successful in their rescue and that they should emerge unharmed.

In attendance was the Hillside police department with their chief, Vincent Ricciardi, as well as the Hillside fire department. At the ceremony, Fire Deputy Chief Douglas Ferrigno was ceremoniously promoted to chief of the fire department.
