Chanukah, Hanukkah, Channukah, Chanukkah, and Hanuqah. No matter how you spell it, the way to celebrate this exciting time of year is definitely with friends and family. Congregation Adath Israel of Elizabeth/Hillside did just that on December 15, as many families joined the AI Youth Department and made their way to Prudential Center for a special Chanukah-Themed Night with the New Jersey Devils. Everyone received custom t-shirts to mark the occasion, as young and old alike shared in watching the Devils compete with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Whether individuals were rooting for or against the Devils, the AI community bonded together with food, fun and happiness all around. Following the game, the AI family made their way down to the ice itself for a group photo; countless selfies and smiles filled the room with everyone together on the ice. The night’s merriment continued with an awesome performance by the Maccabeats, whose greatest hits rocked the lobby of the Prudential Center, bringing everyone even closer on such a wonderful night. Winter is coming, and in the spirit of the season of Chanukah itself, the night was definitely one of fire and ice, with all different people joining together in laughter, warmth and joy!
