Bergenfield’s Cong. Beth Abraham recently hired Eitan and Racheli Rolnick to serve as the new youth directors for the congregation. Eitan is entering his fourth year of semicha at YU and also currently attends the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education. A home-grown Teaneck talent, he’s spent past summers at Camp Morasha and NCSY Kollel, where his love for Torah flourished. Racheli was a teacher at Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls, and will be starting Touro College of Dentistry this summer. She has spent her summers at NCSY Michlelet and Camp HASC.
Their sincere, sweet personalities lay the groundwork for certain success. They “come with loads of experience and are known to be well-loved and respected by their peers and youth alike,” said Michael Wiederkehr, the shul’s president. The combination of experience and enthusiasm that emanated from the Rolnicks made them endearing to the search committee. They started with a bang on July 1, adding energy and a fresh perspective to all of their activities and interactions with shul members and, of course, the youth.
Beth Abraham is thankful to the past youth directors for all of their hard work and dedication, especially during COVID, when resources were limited. The congregation of Beth Abraham is confident that the Rolnicks will bring excitement and creativity to the youth department going forward.
