The weather may have been sweltering but to the well over 100 people who gathered at Congregation Ohav Emeth’s Second Annual Summer Kickoff Family BBQ on Sunday afternoon July 7, the scene was inviting and comfortable. The event featured live music, two bounce houses, a photo booth, hamburgers and hot dogs grilled by an enthusiastic team of cooks, arts and crafts and games for the children, an indoor art auction, and more.
“I think these fun get-togethers really highlight the beauty of OE,” said Rabbi Eliyahu Kaufman, rav of the shul. “OE is a beautiful shul not only because of our beautiful building and the beautiful davening and learning that goes on every day. OE is a truly beautiful place due to the warm and special people and families that make up the OE extended family. Thanks to all the organizers who worked so hard to make this event such a success.”
