On Shabbat, April 28, the Adult Education Committee of Cong. Rinat Yisrael will host Dr. David Shatz, the Ronald P. Stanton University Professor of Philosophy, Ethics and Religious Thought, Yeshiva University, as a scholar in residence.
Dr. Shatz will deliver the drasha at the 9 a.m. minyan. He will deliver a lecture at 6 p.m. Shabbat afternoon on “Rambam, Maimonides, or Both? The Perennial Controversy About Interpreting the Man.” After mincha, he will address “What Is Perplexing About the ‘Guide to the Perplexed?’”
