On Sunday, May 14, Congregation Shaya Ahavat Torah will host Isaak Dostis, who will present “Discussion of the Greek Holocaust as Seen Through Greek-Judeo Recipes.” Throughout his career, Dostis has been an actor, director and teacher. As a filmmaker he produced the award-winning video “Lives to Save: The Rescuers,” about those who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Currently, he and his wife, Diana, give workshops on moral courage to schools and organizations across the states through their company Act1Presentations. Dostis will also be signing his latest book, “Cheese Kaltsonia: Greek-Judeo Recipes With Personal Histories.” A light breakfast will be served at 9:00 a.m., followed by the discussion at 9:45 a.m.
