In an encouraging sign for demoralized buyers, the latest trend, which began about six weeks ago, seems to be holding. The number of houses coming up on the market in Teaneck, Bergenfield and New Milford have continued to rise to a level not seen for almost five months. This rise is accompanied by continued easing of listing prices as more moderately priced homes come to the market as well. At the same time sellers are adjusting their prices to the realities of interest rates hovering around 7%. Our office is certainly experiencing a welcomed, busier pace as calls from potential home sellers and buyers increase daily, especially since the close of the holiday season.
