I am disappointed by your lede (“Dems Seek Conditions on Israel Aid”) on the front page of the April 22 edition of The Jewish Link. I always assume, as an old journalism teacher, that stories follow a pyramid and that some readers do not get to the end. In a week when well over 300 members of Congress offered strong support for the U.S.-Israel relationship, you chose to emphasize the views of two failed candidates, when the last paragraphs of the article make clear that the Democratic Party as a whole does not share their desire to pressure Israel.

Editor’s note: Thank you for your letter. The welcome statement supporting Israel without conditions from 300 Democratic members of Congress was made public late last Wednesday, after The Jewish Link went to press. While we try our best, sometimes, our cover headlines on breaking news items become outdated almost immediately.
We resolve to do better.
