Do You Think the Next Conflict In the Middle East Will Be Between Israel and Turkey?

Maybe you’ve never even thought of Turkey as an enemy of Israel. Right now, that might not seem obvious to you. You’re probably asking yourself, Turkey and Israel, really? Well, when you listen to President Erdoğan’s words, you might begin to notice a pattern. You might even begin to see how ideological he is about establishing another caliphate and taking Israel down with it. For example: “Destroy and devastateZionist Israel,” and, “The revival of Hagia Sophia is a harbinger of the return of freedom to al-Aqsa Mosque.”

These two quotes, taken directly from President Erdoğan, tell us something quite clearly: He has a strong ideological goal of crushing Israel, and in doing so, appropriating the holy sites of Jerusalem. His aim is to establish an Arab caliphate with himself at its center and to take down the only non-Arab country in the Middle East—Israel.

Now, you might ask, how can just two quotes prove so much? Considering how many political leaders throughout history have used psychological warfare through their words. Erdoğan may be doing the same. If you know about HTS—the group that has recently overthrown the Syrian regime—they are backed by Turkey. Your next question might be, So what? Who cares if they’re backed by Turkey? The answer: Israel does.

Israel has launched operations to ensure that the HTS stays far away from the Syrian Druze, and recently, tensions have been rising. If you’ve been following the latest developments, you might already know that Turkey and Israel had a standoff between their air forces on Monday. With that said, do you agree or disagree?
