Don Glaser Jazz Trio Performs in NY

The Don Glaser Jazz Trio will be performing at The Bitter End on Thursday evening, March 2, from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. The club is located at 147 Bleecker Street in New York City, and can be reached at

212-673-7030.

Glaser plays “elegant, sumptuous, swinging piano with a superb touch and sold grasp of dynamics giving his interpretations eloquent shadings and subtleties.” His style has been compared to the Nat King Cole Trio.

He sings in an “engagingly, sophisticated and soft-spoken jazz style,” reminiscent of Chet Baker, Michael Franks, Bobby Troup and Mel Torme.

Glaser was selected as Jazz Musician of the Year in Southern California, from where he moved. One of his earlier CDs, entitled “Don Glaser,” features many of his own compositions and includes jazz greats Ray Brown, Bill Perkins and Shelly Manne. It was designated a Cash Box Magazine “Feature Pick” and received Grammy consideration.

His next CD is entitled “Slices of Life.” Songs from both CDs can be found on Spotify, iTunes and YouTube.

Glaser has performed at Birdland in NYC, Paris, Milan, Toronto, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles and Israel. His material includes standards by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins. His own whimsical original compositions, such as “Strawberry Jam,” Shopping,” “Moving,” “Love,” “Teaneck NJ, “San Diego” and “Will I Ever Grow Up,” speak of a variety of subjects.
