The Dor L’Dor group of Congregation Ahavath Torah, 240 Broad Avenue, Englewood, is sponsoring an art event, the highlight of which is a trip to the Newark Museum for a docent-led tour of the new exhibit, “The Rockies, the Alps and the Romance of the Mountains,” featuring 70 rarely exhibited works of 19th-century American and European landscape artists such as Bierstadt, Calame, John Singer Sargent and others. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. with brunch and a lecture by Sheryl Intrator Urman, who will discuss the exhibit, followed by comfortable bus transportation to the Newark Museum. A tour of the Ballantine House, a National Historic Landmark since 1985, is included.
