On Monday, June 22, 60 seventh and eighth grade boys from all over Bergen County gathered for a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Their play paid tribute to the memory of Dorit Rosen, beloved mother of Moriah students Rone and Omer Rosen.
The fundraiser was not only aimed at raising funds for the Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF), but it was also about turning something tragic into something positive and meaningful. Rone and Omer chose this organization “because our mom loved Israel and wanted to support them with their [ICRF] research. And to make Israel cancer research advanced and updated.”
Over $5,000 was collected to support ICRF. TABC hosted the tournament and Soda Scan donated all the drinks. Dovey Forman organized the logistics for the day. May Dorit’s memory be for a blessing.
