Completing three months in his new practice, Dr. Josh Smilow, DMD, is proud of all that Smilow Family Dentistry has to offer. Knowing that many people don’t enjoy going to the dentist, he makes a special effort to meet the needs of his patients. “My office is newly renovated and is equipped with the latest technology to maximize the comfort of my patients and ensure the best results. I make myself available at all hours and my patients know that they can call me anytime with any concerns that arise,” Dr. Smilow told JLNJ.

Dr. Smilow is a general dentist who is skilled at treating patients with a variety of conditions, and takes care of patients of all ages, including children. “I am passionate about all aspects of cosmetic and general dentistry, including root canals, extractions and full mouth reconstruction. I am also certified in Botox, Invisalign and Facial Fillers,” he added. He has the unique ability to create a comfortable atmosphere for the most anxious of patients, and he is particularly adept at engaging even young children in their treatment so that they feel at ease throughout their time in his office.

Dr. Smilow is a staff member at Hackensack Hospital where he teaches in the residency program and has operating room privileges which allows him to treat children with special needs as well as more complex cases requiring the use of general anesthesia. He is in the process of obtaining operating room privileges at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston.

Prior to embarking on his own practice, Dr. Smilow worked at Dental Professionals of Fair Lawn for 5 years. He maintains a wonderful working relationship with Dr Jody Bardash and Dr William Scherer. Smilow Family Dentistry was created when Dr. Smilow purchased an existing practice on Mountain Avenue in Springfield, NJ. The location is in close proximity to several schools and community centers. It has easily accessible parking and is convenient to several shopping centers and bus stops, as well as the town library. Smilow Family Dentistry is proud to offer early morning, evening and weekend hours.

Dr. Smilow resides in Springfield with his wife and three boys: Eytan, Yedidya and Levi Yitzchak. The Smilows are active members of Congregation Israel of Springfield where Dr. Smilow serves on the board and is a member of several committees.
