Dr. Liss Establishes Multidisciplinary Academic Society

Dr. Howard Liss has announced the initiation of the East Hill Rehabilitation Society, which is a multidisciplinary academic society for clinicians with expertise in musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. This society is unique in that it brings together multiple specialists and offer cutting edge lectures from various fields of expertise. Membership is open to all health care practitioners, with the majority of participants specializing in neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.

The society will meet six times during the calendar year on Tuesday evenings at Axia in Tenafly. Each meeting will feature a lecture given by a leading professional in the field of pain management.

At its inaugural meeting on March 12, the keynote speaker will be Dr. Darryl Sneag, the current director of peripheral nerve MRI and assistant attending radiologist at Hospital for Special Surgery, and assistant professor of radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Sneag and his colleagues recently made groundbreaking discoveries regarding the use of MRIs and ultrasound to identify nerves involved in the pathophysiology of shoulder pain syndromes.
