On March 4, from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m., the East Brunswick Jewish Center will hold its annual Mitzvah Corps Passover Wine Sale. This year, for the first time, it will be in conjunction with a Saturday-evening tasting with representatives from all of the major kosher wine distributors. There will be well over 100 wines from around the world available. In addition, there will be several non-kosher-for-Passover items including single-malt scotches, bourbons and other liquors for sale.
The evening will include food from Park Place, coordinated by Jesse Reitner, and the new kosher Chinese restaurant, Panda Barn.
The cost to attend the event on Saturday night is $50.00 per person ($5.00 included admission), with 100 percent of the net proceeds going to support Yashar LaChayal, Straight to the Soldier.
For those unable to attend the March 4 tasting, EBJC will have its usual wine tasting on a smaller scale on Sunday, March 12, at the Tri-Synagogue Purim Carnival. There will also be kosher-for-Passover artisanal cheeses from The Cheese Guy available for tasting, purchasing and ordering. These will be included in the price list along with all of the wines, liquors, shmurah matzah and bedikat chametz kits.
EBJC wishes to thank its supplier, Shoppers Vineyard of Clifton, and their representative Brian Cook, for all of their support in helping to coordinate this event.
EBJC is located at 511 Ryders Lane in East Brunswick.
