Emboldening the Pro-Palestinian Marchers

In regard to “Teaneck Law Enforcement Wrangles Pro-Palestinian March (March 11, 2024), I certainly appreciate the efforts of the multiple law enforcement agencies and the Teaneck Police Department to protect the public from any violence arising from the pro-Palestinian demonstration at Keter Torah. Although one may consider this a successful effort by the authorities, it really is not a success. The many Jews who live in the area could not get into their neighborhood without identification, thereby restricting free movement, which made it difficult for people to get to their homes. It was a throwback to the ghetto where Jews were restricted in a certain quarter and could not freely move without permission of authorities. This is a submission to the mob. I also feel that the pro-Palestinian protesters accomplished their goal of targeting the local Jewish community and will be further encouraged to further their efforts to do this more and more.
