Sarah Isaacs of Chicago, Illinois, and Eli Greenberg of Englewood are engaged and planning a June 2017 wedding.
The future kallah is the daughter of Roz and Dean Isaacs of Chicago, Illinois. Sarah graduated from the Ida Crown Academy and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in occupational therapy at Touro College in New York.
Eli Greenberg is the son of Matt Greenberg, of Stamford, Connecticut, and Marsha Greenberg Motzen of Englewood, New Jersey. Eli graduated from SAR High School and attended Yeshivat Reishit Yerushalayim. He is in the 2017 graduating class at Yeshiva University.
After dating each other for four years, Eli knew he wanted to make Sarah his kallah. She loves puppies – and that gave him an idea. He asked Sarah’s friend to tell her she was getting a new puppy and that she couldn’t go to the store to fill out the paperwork; would Sarah and Eli go for her? So Sarah and Eli went and played with the adorable puppy. Meanwhile, the puppy was wearing a custom name tag that Eli had created. Sarah saw one side, and got excited that the dog’s name was Sarah. Engraved on the other side of tag were the words “Marry me.” Eli dropped to one knee and took out a velvet box with the ring. Then Sarah knew it was more than puppy love.
