Englewood Brothers Launch Outdoor Cleaning Service

Noah and Aidan Thurm have launched Two Bros and a Hose, a cleaning service specializing in power washing outdoor surfaces including decks, swingsets, pavers, outdoor furniture, driveways, siding, toys and more.

The brothers, who live in Englewood, are both students at the University of Maryland and were forced to come home due to COVID-19 and continue classes online. Noah, a rising junior studying history and real estate development, and Aidan, a rising sophomore studying business and marketing, had internships lined up for the summer that were subsequently rescinded due to the pandemic.

With time on their hands, they realized they needed a plan. “I like to keep busy,” said Aidan, who along with Noah sought to figure out a lucrative way to pass the time. “We were hanging out on the patio when we realized this could be it,” said Noah.

Noah and Aidan enjoy working together and said it was their grandfather who first taught them how to power wash. “About two years ago our grandfather needed help with yardwork and recruited us,” said Noah. After a quick lesson, they successfully washed the deck and pool area and by the end of the day felt very acquainted with a power-washing machine. “We felt very accomplished,” recalled Aidan, who added that their grandfather gave them the confidence to excel.

With summer around the corner, it’s a perfect time to refresh your outdoor space and accessories. Using environmentally safe chemicals combined with appropriate water pressure, Noah and Aidan will have your outdoor surfaces looking as good as new. Safety always comes first and all work is done outside with proper protective equipment on hand. In addition to remarkable results, the cleaning process uses medical grade anti-COVID disinfectant that offers customers an invaluable peace of mind.

The brothers encourage potential customers to watch their videos on Instagram which show before and after footage of their work. “The results speak for themselves,” said Aidan, who has been applying skills he learned in business school, making the venture even more worthwhile.

When asked about the future for Two Bros and a Hose, both Noah and Aidan said they will have to see where life takes them once the pandemic subsides. For now, they say business is booming and they feel gratified to provide a service that people seem to need and appreciate.
