(Courtesy of Cong. Shomrei Torah) Congregation Shomrei Emunah in Englewood held its second Tisha B’Av children’s program for students in grades two to five. Led by Associate Rabbi Shlomo Hyman, the children were engaged in learning, crafts projects and a video presentation. Dr. Arthur Schwartz, president of the shul, said, “We wanted the children to have a meaningful Tisha B’av. The children learned about the different events that occurred on Tisha B’Av, what caused the destruction of the First and Second Temples and what we hope to accomplish by our observance.” The program attracted children from Englewood, Teaneck and Bergenfield.
