Englewood’s Kesher Synagogue Hosts First-Ever Chesed Fair

(Courtesy of Kesher Synagogue) Kesher Synagogue in Englewood held its inaugural chesed fair this week. Many children volunteered to set up booths for display, including: Sophia Stein, who raised money by creating custom stickers for Bet Elazraki Children’s Home in Netanya; Rosie Moche, who raised money for Shalva by creating custom sip cups; Sophie Cutler, who raised money to buy games for children in bomb shelters in Israel through the Heartland Initiative; Maya Apter, who helped resettle a refugee family through HIAS; Sadie Kestenbaum, who made lip balms and body scrubs to raise money for Beit Elazraki; Evie Feldman, who raised money to buy items for children at Hackensack Hospital by working with its child life department; and Natalie Solomon, who worked on packaging and delivering Purim mishloach manot, raising money for Friendship Circle.

Thank you to Kesher members Shlomit Stein and Leslie Teicher who planned and facilitated this wonderful event.
