On Wednesday, December 21, the senior and adult department will welcome Tuvia Entertainment for a holiday luncheon. It will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $8. A traditional four-course meal, including potato latkes and jelly doughnuts, will be served.
The next day, Thursday, December 22, the Y will showcase a community Chanukah party in the Kirshenbaum Israel Center. At 6:30 p.m., families are invited to light candles, decorate doughnuts, enjoy potato latkes and watch the Israeli short film “Lights.” This is open to the community.
For children between the ages of five and 11, the youth department will offer a five-day (12/26-12/30) “Winter Break” Vacation Program. A similar program will be offered again in January for the yeshiva break week. There will be swim, sports, art, cooking and two trips. Each night of Chanukah, when the Y is open, there will be a candlelighting in the lobby.
