New contract ensures that Emblem GHI and HIP members can receive uninterrupted ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology care.
(Courtesy of ENT and Allergy Associates) In its continuing effort to provide excellent care to the maximum number of New York residents possible, ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA)—the largest and most comprehensive ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology practice in the country—proudly announces that it has reached an agreement on a provider contract with EmblemHealth.
Under the new agreement, Emblem GHI members will once again have access to ENT and allergy physicians as in-network providers. This includes but is not limited to:
Employees of the Department of Education
New York City Police Department
Fire Department of the City of New York
The City of New York Department of Sanitation
The Correction Department of the City of New York
The New York City Housing Authority
The New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation
EmblemHealth provides benefits to nearly three million members in New York and the tri-state area.
ENTA was able to demonstrate to Emblem that its breadth of services and investment in technology would translate directly into improved care for Emblem members. ENTA’s cutting-edge technology both enhances the patient experience and provides quicker diagnoses.
“Our goal is to continuously broaden and improve the accessibility of the comprehensive ENT and allergy care we provide, especially for our valued civil service workforce, including those teachers, police and firefighters who rely on Emblem GHI for their insurance needs,” said Dr. Robert Green, president of ENTA. “This milestone exemplifies our commitment to those goals. Our close collaboration with Emblem, along with the hard work and dedication of both leadership teams, all played a vital role in bringing our vision to fruition.”
The Emblem agreement follows on the heels of ENTA’s successful negotiation of a three-year provider agreement with MVP Health Care, completed this past October.
“We take a collaborative approach to our discussions with managed care companies in order to help ensure mutual benefit and a positive outcome. Most importantly, we are focused on reaching a result that serves the needs of the people of our many communities,” says Robert Glazer, CEO of ENTA. “This contract is a testament to those priorities and an indication that we are poised for continued organic growth. We are extremely pleased.”
