JCC MetroWest to Show ‘Je Suis Charlie’
The New Jersey Jewish Film Festival proudly presents the first big screen presentation of one of the year’s most important documentaries, “Je Suis Charlie.” The screening will take place at the JCC MetroWest, in the Maurice Levin Theater, on Saturday, February 20, at 7 p.m.
On January 7, 2015, French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo was the victim of a terrorist attack that killed 12 people, including the greatest French cartoonists Cabu, Wolinski, Charb, Tignous and Honor?. The following day, a policewoman was shot dead in the street. On January 9, another attack targeted French Jews. Four hostages were murdered. This film pays tribute to all these victims.
Please join us after the film for a post-screening discussion followed by a dessert reception.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Advanced sales end Friday, February 19, at 5 p.m.
