Tehillim Requested for Yossi Piamenta

Famed Jewish guitarist and singer Yossi Piamenta is in critical condition, having been placed into a medically induced coma as the result of an illness diagnosed a year ago. The self-dubbed “Jewish Rock and Roller,” also known as the “Hasidic Hendrix,” has touched thousands of lives over the years, through his recorded music, live performances, and performances at countless Jewish weddings.

Recently, when singer Naftali Kalfa, who had collaborated with Piamenta and his brother Avi in the past, learned of the singer’s medical situation, he composed the song “Yaancha,” based on the 20th Psalm. Soon after, the two men recorded the song, produced and arranged by Piamenta himself. The song is dedicated to Piamenta and all the sick in Israel.

Piamenta’s family asks for people to daven (pray) and say Tehillim (Psalms) for the speedy recovery of Yosef ben Genia (Piamenta).
