Livingston–Congregation Etz Chaim seeks volunteers to assist on Sunday, January 18 from 10am to noon with packaging and delivery of food to very needy families and handicapped individuals in Livingston and the surrounding communities. Set up and preparation for this event will be on Thursday, January 15 at 8pm. The synagogue is seeking volunteers of all ages, but individuals with cars are especially needed. No preregistration is necessary.
The event is organized by the Jewish Relief Agency (JRA) of NJ Metrowest. One Sunday each month, the JRA brings together over 1000 volunteers of all ages to pack and deliver non-perishable Kosher pantry items and fresh produce to over 3000 families in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. For more information or to get involved, contact the JRA at www.jewishrelief.org.
