Exciting Finish For Girls Fall Ball

Although the Travel Softball League for girls in grades seven to nine unfortunately folded due to COVID-19, a local league was still organized comprised of three teams of girls from Teaneck only. Led by volunteer coaches Matt Diamond, Yisroel Hochberg, Aaron Hoffer, Elijah Kaplan, Jason Mogul and Ronnie Seiser, a competitive 11 game season, plus playoffs, was completed with safety protocols in place.

This past weekend, the teams completed the playoffs while enjoying the unusually warm fall days.

In the championship game, the Diamond/Sieser team jumped out early scoring four runs in the first and second innings with timely hits. Despite being down 8-3 early, the Kaplan/Hoffer team stayed focused and with solid pitching and hits and walks from up and down the lineup, managed to win 13-11 after trailing most of the game.

Congratulations to the championship team: Sophia Esses, Ilana Gilad, Atara Goldstein, Arielle Graber, Dalia Hoffer, Gaby Hoffer, Liana Kahan, Mia Kaplan, Emma Kinches, Galil Neuer and Orli Scharf.

It was a truly special season for all players and coaches!
