Exciting Winter Fun for a Great Cause: Project Ezrah Plans Annual Family Fun Day

(Courtesy of Project Ezrah) The Fourth Annual Winter Family Fun Day, hosted by Project Ezrah’s Young Leadership Council (YLC), will take place on Sunday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m.-noon at Urban Air Adventure Park in South Hackensack. This much anticipated event is open to all and designed to bring the community together for a morning of excitement and camaraderie without financial barriers.

What makes this event truly special is its pay-what-you-wish model, which allows families to participate regardless of their budget. All donations to the event are tax-deductible and directly support the essential services provided by Project Ezrah.

Urban Air Adventure Park offers a perfect escape from the winter chill. With attractions for all ages, kids can burn off energy, parents can relax and families can bond over a shared day of fun. Last year’s event was a resounding success, with over 700 attendees enjoying the activities and the chance to connect with others in the community. This year, Project Ezrah anticipates an even larger turnout.

“It’s more than just a fun morning — it’s about community,” said Dani Secemski, chair of the YLC and Project Ezrah board member. “This event brings families together while also giving them an opportunity to learn about the vital work Project Ezrah does.”

Over the past two years, one in seven families in Bergen County has turned to Project Ezrah for support. While many think the organization serves only those in crisis, Project Ezrah is expanding its outreach to include events for the entire community. The Winter Family Fun Day is part of a broader effort to break down stigma and ensure everyone feels welcome to participate in the nonprofit’s programs.

“Our goal is to create opportunities that unite our community,” said Rachel Krich, executive director. “This event helps showcase that Project Ezrah is here for everyone, not just those facing challenges. It also helps normalize reaching out for help when needed.”

Families can register online at the Project Ezrah website, ezrah.org. While the event is pay-what-you-wish, registration is required and will close when it reaches capacity.
