With many yeshiva bochurim only now getting off for the month of Av, the FDU Yeshiva Program announces registration for its famous Bein Hazmanim Av zman classes, which begins Monday, August 8, and ends September 1, in time to return to yeshiva here or in Israel. One can earn six credits by attending classes three days a week.
The FDU Yeshiva Program, under the direction of Ira Jaskoll, has been helping yeshiva talmidim who have been learning for a number of years complete a quality FDU bachelor’s degree in only one year. Students transfer 72 yeshiva credits, 18 other credits through CLEP exams, and only need to take 30 credits (10 courses) in the Yeshiva Program. Classes are offered in the Jewish Center of Teaneck.
New for fall, 2016 is the offering of classes in Passaic, NJ, at Cong. Tifereth Israel, 180 Passaic Ave. Also being added is the FDU Seminary Program for women, which will have the same flexible transfer credit policy and schedule. Classes will be offered Monday, 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and 6-9:30 p.m., to work around carpooling and school schedules. New majors for the women will be offered in entrepreneurship and health and human services. A new major for the men will be in pre med, to prepare graduates to attend medical and dental school. As a special service, the FDU application fee is waived for all Yeshiva & Seminary Program applicants. Tuition is reduced by 50 percent, with government financial aid available to those who qualify.
Fall classes will begin September 18, and end December 15.
