Tuesday was an inspiring day in the history of Yavneh as students were able to participate in a beautiful, uplifting Hachnasat Sefer Torah ceremony. Yavneh parents, Nomi and Mendy Schwartz, dedicated the Torah in memory of Mendy’s brother, Benjy Schwartz A”H. Yavneh’s children marched the Torah up the hill, and eventually to the Aron Kodesh, a wonderful sight. Rabbi Knapp, the headmaster said, “The energy and ruach will remain indelibly imprinted upon our hearts and souls and we are extremely grateful to the Schwartz family Nomi, Mendy, Benjy (Class of ’15), Aiden (Class of ’17), Kayla (Class of ’19), and Shana (Class of ’22), for sharing this special moment with Yavneh’s children.”
