Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

James Dennehy, FBI special agent in charge, presents Rabbi Kanelsky with a certificate, and a yarmulke engraved with the letters “FBI” and in Hebrew “פבי.”

A gathering was held at the FBI office in Newark, New Jersey with leaders of the community and special law enforcement agencies. The discussions revolved around security and other measures being taken as a result of the situation in Israel.

There was also a commemoration of the holiday of Chanukah, and Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky, executive director of Bris Avrohom, was asked to speak. Rabbi Kanelsky shared his experiences and memories of Chanukah in the former Soviet Union as a child, and he expressed his gratitude to God that he is able to celebrate today without fear. Furthermore, he shared his joy of spreading the light of Chanukah at the FBI office and around the state of New Jersey.
