In honor of National Alzheimer’s Awareness month in November, children’s book author and Teaneck resident Chana Stiefel has co-written a book entitled “Why Can’t Grandma Remember My Name?” with Kent L. Karosen, president and CEO of the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation. In Q & A format, the book raises awareness and answers children’s questions about the disease. The artwork in the book was created by kindergartners as well as Alzheimer’s patients in art therapy programs. All proceeds from the sale of the book benefit the Fisher Center in the quest to find a cure. The book is available on Amazon and at alzinfo.org.
