Making The Write Choice for President

This presidential election is not just the most acerbic, contentious and divisive in recent history. In light of the nonstop media attention, the precarious and vulnerable physical and economic health of our country and the sheer volume of accusations and character assassination attempts, it behooves everyone to consider an absolutely objective manner in which to ascertain the true nature of each candidate: the science of graphology—handwriting analysis. It presents a precise picture of the writer’s personality, psychological disposition, level of intelligence, degree of honesty, mental and physical health, and much more.

Donald Trump is a hyped-up competitor and rough-and-tumble pugilist. Every interaction is essentially pitting him against an adversary. He views himself as a veritable gladiator and a natural survivor with a fighting instinct and considerable strength of spirit. Always on the alert, antennae fully deployed, he possesses an ability to cope better than most with the obstacles and hardships he encounters. This strong fighting spirit, fox-like survival instincts and a cunning scheming nature encourage him to consider himself smarter and faster than most. A virtual one-man army when intent on succeeding. This tough warrior-like spirit motivates him to pursue objectives with much intensity and little hesitation: no stopping until he succeeds. Sometimes like a bull on steroids.

Unlike his handwriting, which is quite legible, parts of his signature are cryptic and unreadable, indicating that he communicates his thoughts, not his identity: very secretive. The partial encircling in the signature (the last stroke circles back) is a sign of anxiety, building a protective shelter/enclosure/fortress, a withdrawal from social relationships, which are greatly mistrusted. (For years he adamantly refused to shake hands with the ready pretext that it spread germs.) This signature is now so habitual that it has become a kind of hieroglyphic, like the signature of an artist or doctor. It resembles a skyline punctuated with skyscrapers, bearing his iconic brand. It can appear as an EKG pre- or post-heart attack. Placing a lower-case “e” in upper-case writing shows a measure of inconsistency, a level of disordered thinking. The stabs in the ovals represent speaking with a forked tongue. Crossing through in the signature indicates a predilection to self-destruction. The huge upper thrusts shout, “I am a big hunk of a man.” His bold and large signature transmits wild ambition, dynamism, bravery and fearlessness.

Curves/roundedness in writing indicate softness. Nurturing, empathy and maternal feelings: all are absent. Angles indicate anger, belligerence, determination, competitiveness or being challenged and fearful. Most interestingly, recently his signature has softened with small hints of curves. This shows his current preoccupation with leaving an enduring legacy. This is attested to by his employing every tenet of his classic “The Art of the Deal” strategy, using his negotiating skills, pressure, persuasion, bribery and strong-arming to affect the world stage, i.e. traveling to North Korea, moving the American Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, arranging peace agreements between Israel and Arab states and other endeavors that may yet come to pass.

Joe Biden is an intelligent and fine thinker, using his keen mind to his advantage. Constantly thinking in a creative and innovative way; actively using his mental talents. He grasps information quickly. An impatient thinker. A critical, investigative mind that explores and digs for knowledge, asking questions and seeking answers. An eagerness to learn. Displays maturity and a direct route to problem-solving. Quick and decisive.

Organizes life effectively. Knows about contingency planning and leaving enough time to handle various emergencies. Ability to assimilate impressions and express them effectively. When dealing with a situation or problem, he considers a variety of responses and can look at both sides, as well as the ultimate effect of each on the outcome. Reasons well and uses common sense to make decisions; prefers structure and order in his environment and doesn’t appreciate interruptions. Finds a way around obstacles and gets back on track. Ability to adapt.

His later writings reveal significant changes in his personality. For someone who may appear as mild-mannered as a mouse, he can be given to sudden uncontrolled, explosive behavior. After he’s acted out, returns to his normal behavior. He experiences occasional lapses of consciousness. The mental process is not smooth; thinking can be obsessional and exhibit sudden outbursts.

His signature, while echoing the clarity and openness of the rest of the writing, oddly presents a high wall—the J of the first name Joe. An impenetrable barrier, a veritable fence, virtually blocking access to the real writer. Is it the iconic curtain concealing the Wizard or perhaps something surprising, mysterious, mischievous, magical or—heaven forbid—diabolical? Caveat emptor.
