Is Your Child Artsy? Find Out This Summer At the Art and Imagination Camp

Does your daughter or son have an artistic streak? You might be surprised!

Natalia Kadish is excited to reintroduce the community to the Art and Imagination Camp, which will be catering to children between the ages of 6 and 12 this summer. Two week sessions will begin July 3 and continue until September. Many choose to extend the two week sessions to three or four weeks and the majority of the participants do attend for four weeks. Groups are divided into appropriate age groups, which usually means groupings of 6-8 year olds and 9-12 year olds.

At Kadish’s side throughout this endeavor and many others is Yael Kupferman, a board certified art therapist and teacher at Ben Porat Yosef.

An exciting addition to the camp this year will be a large above-ground pool, which will have a professional lifeguard on duty at all times.

Kadish believes strongly that children are capable of spreading their creativity throughout many different forms of art. Ceramics, pottery made with stoneware, beading and painting are just a few of the choices that her campers will have. Those working in stoneware will use a real kiln and will see that it takes at least a week for the object d’arts to dry.

The camp only has adult assistants working with the children and they are always amazed at the creativity that they see in each and every camper throughout the summer.

Kadish has become quite renowned in the field of art, and she is also an award-winning illustrator. Her work is spiritually inspired, and her artwork is in great demand.

Kadish also offers classes at Elevated Space Arts Studio from Sunday through Thursday, all of which are taught by professional artists and sculptors. Her open studio allows adults to pay each month to learn the medium of their choice in an undistracted environment. Classes teaching the techniques of using glass will begin shortly.

As Kadish described, “Coming to Elevated Spaces is similar to going to a gym for creative minds. All equipment is provided.”

Thursday night is family night at the studio, with classes beginning at 4:45 p.m. for children and continuing through the evening, with adult classes from 7:30-9:30 p.m.. On Sunday there are painting and drawing classes for children from 9-10 a.m., followed by pottery for kids from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.. Sunday afternoon is reserved for birthday parties or personalized workshops.

Elevated Space Arts Studio is located at 115 Evergreen Place, Teaneck. For further information contact Natalia Kadish at
