FIDF Holds National Lone Soldiers Errands Day

(Courtesy of FIDF) For the sixth consecutive year, Friends of the IDF, in partnership with Nefesh B’Nefesh are dedicating an entire “Errands Day” to lone soldiers, helping them take care of a range of personal business and errands they need to see to during their service and towards their release, all under one roof. These lone soldiers should be recognized and helped, their burdens and concerns eased as much as possible, and their valuable and scarce free time saved for enjoying themselves, instead of dealing with red tape.

On Thursday, January 24, Beit Hachayal, at 60 Weizman Street in Tel Aviv, will host representatives from over 40 government agencies, including the Ministry of the Interior, the Israeli Tax Authority, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Ministry of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption, as well as various embassies, financial institutions, municipalities and more. Staff members will assist the thousands of soldiers expected to arrive from all units and from all corners of the country, pointing them in the right direction as they apply for discounts on their utility bills, request Israeli passports, consult with experts about higher education options and much more. The program run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
