Coach Omar Munoz has been working to develop a competitive field for the Frisch Boys Volleyball Program and for the first time in its history, the players partook in a tournament. Participating were Frisch Varsity Team A, Frisch Junior Varsity Team B, Passaic County Community College and Passaic High School Alumnus. Frisch Junior Varsity Team B was coached by the team captain Max Gruber (‘15) and alumni Alan Yomtobian (‘14). The purpose of the tournament was to “grow the game.” With the ongoing support of Athletic Director Mr.AC, Munoz runs the program with the philosophy that the sport should be played in a fun but competitive manner.

The team has many exciting players to watch: middle hitters Andrew Katz, Matthew Katz and Andrew Levine and setters Rafael Jecobovitz and Shimon Ohana. The leaders on and off the court are Sammy Friedman, Max Gruber, and Shimon Ohana. Last year, the team went 6-3 and was ranked number one for the first half of the season. The first match of the new season is on Sunday March 29, 10am at North Shore.
