First Jewish Link, Yedei Chesed, Power Entrepreneur Networking Event Welcomes Capacity Crowd

Approximately 100+ local business people packed into Avenue Event Space in Teaneck recently to network and hear from distinguished speakers Joe Apfelbaum, CEO of Ajax Union; and Joseph Steinberg, a leading cybersecurity executive, columnist and influencer. The high energy, fun and educational event, which was co-sponsored by The Jewish Link, The Power Entrepreneur and Yedei Chesed, was called ‘Business for a Cause,’ and took place on June 12.

Emceed by leading sponsor Shmuel Shayowitz of Approved Funding, who helped set the tone for the evening, the gathering was a mix of business discussions, networking, education and sushi. Attendees enjoyed the enlightening and energetic presentation of Apfelbaum, who gave a rousing talk and threw out a number of strong takeaways for anyone looking to grow their businesses and their business relationships. After he spoke, the program turned into a conversation between Apfelbaum and Steinberg. Jacob Busani, a co-founder of The Power Entrepreneur, opened the evening’s program.

The evening was made possible by 11 individual sponsors, who came together to help a good cause, Yedei Chesed, which advocates for and services people with developmental disabilities and helps them achieve an improved quality of life through independence and inclusion within society. Leading sponsors include Marsh and McLennan, CareOne of Teaneck, Approved Funding, ITCON, Sterling Bank, Emporio, Mishpacha Magazine, Shlomo Golombeck Orchestras, Julie Farkas Designs and Frankel Disposables. The wonderful food for the evening was provided by Teaneck’s Rock N’ Roll Sushi & Noodle Bar. Every sponsor brought something special to the event, showcasing their support for the community and recognizing their shared responsibility in supporting people with disabilities.

Plans are in the works for a second event, to be held within the next six to 12 months. Stay tuned and keep reading The Jewish Link for more information!
