Four players from Frisch’s hockey team were named All-State: Noah Petak—First Team Defenseman, Jake Fromen—First Team Forward, and both Jack Margolius and Jakey Zackai received Honorable Mention. Margolius, a junior, getting his first award, enjoyed a breakout season scoring six goals and 10 assists—most of them coming at crucial points of the game. Senior captain Jakey Zakai collecting his first award as well, provided much needed leadership this past year along with his own brand of grit and perseverance throughout his four year high school career. Ultimate power forward Jake Fromen makes his second All-State appearance on 12 Goals and 19 assists despite missing some games. If he gets the puck in the corners, it’s a safe bet no one else will come away with it. Senior Noah Petak gets his third consecutive year of recognition. With his 43 points (20 goals 23 assists) he easily shattered the 100 point mark becoming the third player (first defenseman) in Frisch hockey’s short history to achieve the prestigious state milestone. He has undoubtedly shown himself to be one of the best athletes to ever come out of a yeshiva high school.
